7x57 rifle by Anton Sodia, Ferlach

This is a rare opportunity to acquire a top quality Ferlach rifle by Anton Sodia in 7x57 cal. that has had little use. The rifle has a full length raised top rib which incorporates iron sights, the rear sight being stand and fold. There is a 4x32 Swarovski Habicht Nova 'scope on claw mounts, a double set trigger, finely checkered stock with traditional Bavarian cheek piece, rubber butt pad and an antler coronet as a pistol grip cap. The rifle is tastefully engraved with a roaring stag on the magazine floor plate and a chamois on the trigger guard with the engraving continuing on the bolt handle.
Weight without 'scope 7 lbs 6 oz, barrel length 21' and stock 14 5/8" There are some minor marks on the stock where the rifle has rubbed on a sheath or something similar on a belt while being carried on the shoulder. Offers will be considered in the region of £1,850

Size approximately 24" back to front, 12" wide and 28" high including legs.

The stove is fully functional and can be used as it is, or it could be split up and the two side panels used as decorative wall plaques or possibly set into wrought iron gates or some other similar use.
